In today’s world, people are increasingly exposed to stress. Our goal was to develop an application that will help a person to relax and better cope with stress. We didn’t want to create a standard application and we came up with the idea to connect the functionality of the application with the theme of space and fictional planets. The main section was the universe with meditation planets, each planet has its own locations and areas with author’s meditation music. Welcome to the universe of meditation.
UX GOALS
Researching Potential Users
Identification of user pain points and problems
Building interaction with the product
Creating and testing hypotheses
Designing a convenient user interface
Responsibilities
Conducting interviews
Making user journey map
Creating wireframes
Conducting usability studies
Creating design system
Accessibility tests
Creating high-fidelity prototype and final UI
User experience research
We did research, we needed to understand the problems of future users and think about how we can solve them.
User Interviews
I interviewed people I knew who could be potential users. Nowadays, even a person working in an office may have problems with calmness and need to relax. I focused on such a group of people. I have identified the main pain points that bother users and cause inconvenience or suffering.
People want to get the effect quickly
Meditation sounds complicated, we need to show that the process is easy
Need simple and easy navigation for new users
User Journey Map
After identifying user needs, I prepared User Journey Map. This allows us to understand what steps the user will go through in our product. The map will help to understand the principle of user interaction with the product.
Competitor analysis
For a better understanding of the market and the product, I studied the competitors. Sometimes big competitors shape user experience and habits. We can also identify the strengths and weaknesses of competitors. I have compiled a comparison table to better handle the collected data.
Design process
The design process consists of information architecture, wireframes, low-fidelity prototype, usability study, design system, high-fidelity layouts and prototypes.
Information architecture
Digital wireframing
Low-fidelity prototype
I created clickable prototypes to test with real users.
Usability study
We conducted 2 rounds of prototype testing on users and during this time we monitored their actions and took important notes. So we were able to trace the interaction of the user with the product and draw some conclusions.
